ABOUT LINEN LOFT

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Drakensburg Mountains and nestled among the rolling fields and winding roads of the Midlands Meander, lies a charming little upmarket linen retailing outlet and local landmark. Linen Loft offers an exclusive shopping experience for the discerning buyer who values quality and appreciates the personal touch – both of which are evident in all of Linen Loft’s exquisite home textiles and accessories. From our range of eclectic cushions to our 400 thread 100% cotton percale duvet covers, every item sold at Linen Loft is of the highest quality, making it comfortably yours...

While our offerings extend from the bedroom to the bathroom and just about everything in-between, we specialise in beautiful bed linen and only use high quality cottons in our products. Our classic designs and superior craftsmanship reflects our timeless

appreciation for sophistication and beauty. The Linen Loft style is typically understated in a neutral palate and makes use of importd fabrics, local labour and local manufacturers – true to the very essence of the Midlands Meander.

In addition, Linen Loft guarantees a certain measure of exclusivity, as the linen is deliberately not mass produced and marketed. In fact, items can be personalised and embroidered according to most specifications and requests, so long as sufficient lead-time is given. It is perhaps this measure of distinction that makes us so popular within the hospitality industry too, as the Linen Loft is a regular supplier to a number of respected lodges and B&Bs throughout the country.

OUR STAFF

Linen Loft has a proud history and solid reputation in the textile industry, thanks largely to the experienced contributions of owner and director, Jim Funnell. Throughout his 26 years in the textile industry as an Industrial Engineer, first with Da Gama and then with Mooi River Textiles, Jim has become familiar with all the processes of fabric manufacturing from the spinning of the yarn to the weaving and fabric processing. Later he was to become involved in the home textile manufacture. He also gained a wealth of valuable contacts in the industry over this time – all of which stood him in excellent stead to be at the helm of the immensely popular Linen Loft.

Jim is support by Jeanette Morris who has a flare for marketing  and an eye for detail and undertakes all the buying she is support by Thembeka  who have been with Linen Loft for the past 10 years and are passionate about their  commitment to Linen Loft

Jim and Laureen also have a passion for the local community and believe in empowering their staff to achieve optimum performance levels and to ensure that each skill set is nurtured and grown. Staff who come to work for Linen Loft generally stay and become a part of the ‘comfortably yours’ family.
